“I came to Animal League America and I never left,” Gloria said. “At this point I’ve done just about everything you can do as a volunteer. I’ve worked adoptions, helped behind the scenes, fostered, participated in the SPOT program, walked dogs, taught classes for new volunteers, and even joined a local rescue. There’s always something to learn, and I love that.”
Of all the roles she’s taken on, Gloria finds special fulfillment in offsite events. “I love the process from start to finish — caring for the animals, introducing them to potential adopters, and then seeing them go home with a family who adores them. It’s incredible to witness that moment when a person finds their perfect match and realizes, ‘This is my dog.’”
